  • GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

    1. Kindly note that bookings are exclusively available for families. Reservations for bachelors or couples may face challenges in adhering to certain rules. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

    2. For an intimate and exclusive experience, our property is dedicated to single bookings only. Whether it's one guest or a family of eight, the tariff and rules remain the same.

    3. For special occasions or shoots, we request an exclusive reservation, as our regular packages are not designed for such events. Strict adherence to this policy is greatly appreciated from all guests. Kindly refer to the terms & conditions for events and shoots for more details and clarity on this .

    4. For the mentioned packages - Overnight Stay (01 Night & 02 Days) and Overnight Stay with Photo shoot, the kitchen is available for use at an additional cost of Rs. 1000 per night. For extended stays (Weekly & Monthly Packages), charges will vary depending on the duration of the stay and the number of days the kitchen is required.
    Guests are kindly requested to adhere to the Kitchen Rules , encompassing guidelines for usage, cleanliness, and safety (Please ref. Kichen rules &guidelines).

    5.Check-in time is 13:00 Hr and Check-out time is 11:00 Hr. Early check-ins and late check-outs are subject to availability

    6. Guests are required to submit a copy of their valid government ID proof and address proof during check-in. For foreign nationals, a Passport & Visa is mandatory. Original documents are essential for verification and will be returned after the process. Failure to comply may lead to the guest being unable to check in.

    7. Kindly note that no visitors are permitted for guests after 20:00 Hr.

    8. To maintain a serene environment, quiet hours are in effect from 22:00 Hr to 7:00 Hr. Guests are requested to manage noise levels respectfully, minimizing any potential disturbance to neighbors.

    9. Indoor access is granted only for Overnight Stays (01 Night & 02 Days), Weekly & Monthly Packages, and Overnight Stay with Photo shoot. Guests must specify the purpose of their booking at the time of reservation for access verification.

    10. To ensure the comfort and well-being of all guests, we do not permit pets on the premises. Your understanding of this policy is greatly appreciated.

    11. Indoor smoking is strictly prohibited to maintain a clean and healthy environment.

    12. Guests are allowed to consume alcohol on our premises, but are requested to adhere to local government laws and quantity restrictions. As we do not possess a bar license, possession of more than 3 liters of alcohol and open consumption are illegal. Any legal or health difficulties arising from non-compliance with these regulations are solely the responsibility of the guest. KANAVU disclaims liability for matters related to the possession and consumption of alcohol.

    13. Prohibited within the homestay premises are drug use (including marijuana) and any illegal activities. Any such instances will prompt us to inform the police, and the guest assumes sole responsibility for all consequences.

    14. Any damages to the property caused by the guests or their visitors are the liability of the guest, and the guest is responsible for paying additional charges for the repair or replacement of the damages.

    15. Guests are responsible for their personal belongings. The homestay is not liable for any loss of personal items.

    16. For the safety of the guests, bringing hazardous materials, explosives, or inflammable substances onto the homestay premises is strictly prohibited.

    17. While visiting nearby attractions, including water bodies and trekking spots, guests are solely responsible for their own safety. KANAVU shall not be held liable for any accidents, injuries, or incidents that may occur during such visits.

    18. Guests are expected to strictly adhere to KANAVU 's terms and conditions. Non-compliance, instances of misbehavior with staff, or acts of violence will lead to immediate expulsion from the premises. Refusal to leave may result in involving the police.

  • CONDUCTING EVENTS/ SHOOTS AT KANAVU – RULES & REGULATIONS

    1.Specific Checkc-in/ Check-out times are allocated for events, and unfortunately, early check-ins or late checkouts are not allowed.

    2. Shooting or conducting events is only permitted in the outdoor area of the property. Entry to indoor areas is strictly prohibited during such activities. For the convenience of guests, a designated washroom and handwash counter are arranged outdoors.

    3. Prior approval is required for event decorations and setups. Catering services must be coordinated in advance with the homestay management. All setups must be in compliance with safety regulations and should not cause any damage to the property.

    4.Our property is designed with ample natural light and strategically placed lighting for optimal photoshoots. In the event that guests require extra lighting for activities, we request them to bring their power source, such as a generator.

    5.We kindly request guests to manage noise levels responsibly during events, ensuring minimal disruption to neighbors and other guests.

    6.Event/shoot organizers are kindly reminded to take responsibility for their equipment and belongings. The homestay is not liable for any loss or damage to the equipment brought in for the event.

    7. Guests are obligated to remove all accumulated waste from the property before checking out.

    8. In the event of a cancellation, the host retains the right to charge a cancellation fee, which will be communicated during the booking process

    9. The homestay reserves the right to charge a security deposit to cover any potential damages during the event. Any damages incurred will be deducted from the deposit.

    10. KANAVU is not liable for any incidents, damages, or accidents that may occur during events or other shoots.

  • Cancellation Policy | Modification Policy | Refund Process

    Cancellation Policy

    1. Guests can cancel their booking up to 7 days before the scheduled check-in date. In such cases, a cancellation fee of 15% of the total booking amount, plus applicable GST, will be charged.

    2. This policy applies strictly to cancellations made within the 7-day timeframe before check-in

    Late Cancellation

    1. If a cancellation is made within 7 days of the scheduled check-in date, the entire booking cost will be charged.

    Festive Season Cancellation

    1. During festive seasons, intimation prior to 15 days of check-in is required for cancellation.

    2. Intimation within 15 days will result in 100% cancellation charges.

    Modification Policy

    1. Guests have the flexibility to modify their reservation, allowing upgrades to higher categories. For instance, guests who initially booked an Overnight stay can opt to upgrade to weekly packages.

    2. It is important to note that downgrades or reverse modifications are not permitted under this policy

    3. Modifications are subject to availability and any applicable rate differences must be paid in advance.

    Refund Process

    1. Payment refunds for cancellations will be processed within 10 working days through bank transfer.

  • KITCHEN RULES & GUIDELINES

    1. Guests are kindly requested to procure their own groceries for self-cooking.

    2. Utilize the kitchen appliances and equipment responsibly. If any malfunction occurs, please report it promptly to ensure a smooth kitchen experience.

    3. Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in the kitchen. After use, kindly wash and clean utensils, countertops, and appliances.

    4. Exercise utmost caution while using kitchen appliances. Ensure that gas, stove, Oven, Mixer Grinder are turned off after use. In case of any emergency, contact the designated emergency number.

    5. Please segregate waste into dry and wet categories and dispose of it in the provided bins accordingly.

    6. To uphold a pleasant kitchen environment, kindly store excess food in the refrigerator. This practice helps prevent unpleasant odors and ensures a hygienic atmosphere for everyone

    7. KANAVU holds no liability for any incidents, damages, or accidents arising from the use of the kitchen facilities.
